The City of Green is gearing up to serve hot cakes and heartfelt thanks at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, to be held at Community Hall, 1795 Steese Rd, on October 26 from 9 to 11 a.m. This event is tailored for volunteers who've dedicated their time and efforts to the city's various programs throughout the year. It's a free affair, but yes, registration is a must.
And it's not just any breakfast—Mayor Rocco Yeargin is slated to flip pancakes. The spread includes scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, fruit, and other morning staples. It's a gesture of gratitude, acknowledging the tireless work of the community's unsung heroes. According to the City of Green's announcement, the breakfast is "a celebration of our volunteers who give year-round assistance to the City of Green and their community at large."
Alongside the feast, an extra spoonful of recognition is planned for one outstanding individual. During the breakfast, Mayor Yeargin will spotlight the 'volunteer of the year,' honoring their exceptional commitment and contributions to the town's welfare.
To secure a spot at the table, would-be attendees are prompted to register by calling Kelly Lavaco at 330-896-6602 or by emailing [email protected]. Alternatively, registrations can be handled online through the City of Green’s website. For more details and online registration, volunteers can click here.
