Clark County Public Works confirmed the commencement of these repairs to address the bridges' compromised piles, posts, stringers, braces, and ties. The county proprietor of the railway is legally mandated to upkeep this infrastructure according to regulatory standards. As bridge conditions have deteriorated, some rail sections have been closed, signaling the urgency of these renovations. During the repairs, particularly the week of September 30, contractors focused their efforts on a bridge in the Gordy Jolma Family Natural Area. According to Clark County Public Works, trail access may occasionally be impeded when work occurs near pedestrian pathways, creating minor inconveniences for visitors.
