Residents of Clark County, mark your calendars, as the Clark County Council has rolled out its schedule for the remaining meetings of the year 2024. According to the council's official announcement, adjustments have been made to accommodate the busy end-of-year period, ushering in changes particularly for council hearings and work sessions.
The tail end of the year sees the council convening on Tuesdays, with meetings slated for 10 a.m. on Nov. 5, a 1 p.m. slot on Nov. 12, and a 6 p.m. hearing to round off the day on Nov. 19; come December 3, at 10 a.m., this meeting is expected to be the council's curtain call for 2024. The weeks to remain meeting-free are those beginning Nov. 25, and stretching uninterrupted through the December holiday gauntlet — Dec. 9, 16, 23, and the final week of the year, Dec. 30.
Similarly, Wednesday's schedule has been locked down, with council work sessions commencing bright and early at 9 a.m., followed by council time at 1 p.m., these will take place on Oct. 30, Nov. 6, and Nov. 13. The only asterisk on the calendar is the Board of Health meetings which, for the months of November and December, have been struck from the agenda; however, a single work session is on the books for Nov. 6 at 9 a.m., dedicated to a briefing from Public Health.
