Officers in Columbus responded to a shooting incident on Sunday on the 700 block of S Champion Ave. According to a Columbus Division of Police report, the patrol officers discovered evidence of a shooting and at least one individual suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly transported to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Assigned to the case, Detective Altherr #2265 reported to the scene to lead the investigation. While authorities processed the scene, those involved were interviewed — a step critical in piecing together the events that had transpired. A suspect, following these interviews, was quickly identified and apprehended by the police, with charges filed in connection to the shooting. The investigation into the shooting continues to unfold.
