An incident of accidental gunfire left one person injured last Saturday, prompting an investigation by the Columbus Police Department. The shooting occurred inside a vehicle parked on the 3700 Block of Edendale Road, an area that has seen its share of troubles.
According to a media release issued by the Columbus Division of Police, both the victim and the shooter were in the exact vehicle when the suspect's firearm was discharged accidentally. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was struck by the unintended discharge. The Columbus Police Felony Assault unit is now seeking the public's assistance in gathering more information about the incident.
