Earlier calls for assistance described Celina as a dementia patient last viewed near S. Loop 288, wearing a tiger gown and black sweatshirt, her gray hair braided, standing 5’5” tall, and weighing around 150 pounds, the Facebook post by the City of Denton Police Department detailed, adding urgency to the search as officers scoured the area looking for any sign of her, residents were urgently implored to keep eyes open and to reach out with any sightings or information.
The initial report of her disappearance noted that Celina had walked away from the Pecan Creek on McKinney Apartments around 7:15 p.m. Sourcing from the Facebook post, concerned citizens and law enforcement were on high alert through the night, given her condition adding a layer of vulnerability to the feared scenario.
