Tragedy struck the 1300 block of N. High St. last Saturday when a shooting incident claimed the life of a 51-year-old man. According to a media release from the Columbus Division of Police, officers responded to a call at 2:38 PM and found the victim, Paul Allgood, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the rapid response of Columbus Fire medics who transported Allgood to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead at 4:24 PM.
The authorities have confirmed that the next of kin were notified following the tragic event. With a preliminary investigation underway, detectives are piecing together the events that led to Paul Allgood's death. Seeking to identify both a suspect and a motive, Detective Pribe, the lead detective on the case, is assisted by Detective Yoder.
