The City of Dallas is taking a proactive step towards fusing financial stability resources with its emergency response strategies. Sourced from the City of Dallas, the City has been selected for the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund's (CFE Fund) Emergency Financial Empowerment (EFE) initiative. With this selection, Dallas joins the inaugural cohort aiming to incorporate emergency financial resources as a standard element of their emergency preparedness programs.

As part of the initiative, Dallas is set to systematically integrate tools designed to swiftly enhance the financial resilience of individuals affected by emergencies. "This groundbreaking initiative aims to integrate financial stability resources into the local emergency preparedness," according to the City of Dallas announcement. Integrating these measures is seen as a crucial step to ensure residents have immediate access to financial services and support during unforeseen events.

In a separate effort to bolster community resilience through sustainable growth, Dallas is also initiating a Growers Education and Workforce Development Program. This new initiative, as reported by the City of Dallas, is the result of a partnership between the City of Dallas Office of Environmental Quality and Sustainability’s Urban Agriculture Division and Dallas County Health and Human Services. The program represents an approximately $50,000 investment into agricultural education and workforce development.
