A late-night food delivery in Davenport, Florida, went awry when an Uber Eats driver was accused of spitting in a customer's face and stealing fall yard decorations. According to a FOX 13 News report, the incident occurred last month when Alexsandra Del Valle Acosta Aguilar, an Uber Eats driver, was confronted by a homeowner for allegedly taking food from the delivery bag.

The homeowner claimed to have seen Del Valle Acosta Aguilar holding her 'Happy Fall Y'all’ sign and later noticed an urn, a decorative column, and four plaster pumpkins, cumulatively worth about $300, missing from her property. In response to the confrontation, Aguilar purportedly spat upon the accuser. Officers subsequently apprehended Aguilar at her Winter Garden home, where she admitted to making the delivery, as reported by WFLA.

Charges facing Del Valle Acosta Aguilar include burglary with assault and grand theft from a dwelling greater than $100. Law and Crime details that the altercation began after the customer confronted Aguilar for removing food from the delivery bag. The conflict escalated when Aguilar allegedly spat on the customer and took off with the decorative items.

Law enforcement authorities quickly ascertained Aguilar's employment with Uber Eats and found a vehicle that matched the description given by the victim and was registered in Aguilar's name. "The victim then removed the sign from the suspect's possession and the suspect began a verbal altercation with the victim before intentionally spitting on the victim against her will," according to the affidavit obtained by Law and Crime. The total cost of the stolen merchandise was approximately $300.
