The DeSoto Police Department took to social media with an update on their latest animal control efforts. It is over three days, from last Thursday to Saturday, when officers impounded a total of 11 animals, as per DeSoto Police Department.
Precise in their accounting, the breakdown included seven dogs and just a single cat, alongside three wild or other animals. For the residents of DeSoto or anyone stumbling upon the post, these animals have become more than just statistics; they represent members of the community, albeit on four legs, temporarily under the care of the local authorities. Officials hope that by broadcasting this information, they might hasten the reunion of these impounded animals with their rightful homes.
Anyone who recognizes one of the animals or is looking for their lost pet is encouraged to visit the Tri-City Animal Shelter at the listed address, 1150 E Pleasant Run Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. The shelter, which tends to these animals, has visiting hours from Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM. They can also be contacted by phone at (972) 291-5335 for further information.
