
The Detroit community is urgently seeking help in the search for Chance Lewis, a 12-year-old boy reported missing since Sunday from Detroit's west side. Authorities state Chance was last seen near Prest and Orangelawn streets, he left his grandmother’s residence and his failure to return has raised immediate concern among family and law enforcement.
Chance is described as around 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds, ClickOnDetroit reports, he was last seen dressed in a distinctive blue jacket with the word "PLUG" and an image of a plug on it, this was in addition to a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray jogging pants, and gray and blue shoes for those looking to identify him.
The Detroit Police Department is leading the search and has disseminated his information widely, seeking the public's assistance in locating Chance. Furthering the efforts, the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons unit took to Facebook with an urgent plea, they shared a message echoing the request for any information regarding Chance's whereabouts asking anyone with information to contact Detroit's 2nd Precinct at (313) 596-5240 or in an emergency, to dial 911.
