Chaos enveloped the streets of Milwaukee yesterday evening as Milwaukee Police Department squad cars were implicated in not one, but two separate collisions. The first disturbance was recorded near the intersection of 11th Street and Greenfield Avenue, around the early evening hour of 5:45 p.m., as per FOX6 News. Onlookers watched in alarm as the immediate vicinity was littered with car parts, and a traffic signal lay toppled over on the pavement.
Mere moments later, at approximately 6:15 p.m., tragedy nearly struck again when another Milwaukee police SUV collided with a vehicle at Sherman Boulevard and North Avenue, as reported by WISN 12 News. In the aftermath of the crash, a bus shelter lay in ruins, signaling yet another public space claimed by the unforeseen chaos. Despite reaching out to the police department, WISN 12 News has not yet received a response regarding the nature of the collisions or the well-being of those involved.
The severity of the incidents was underscored by the fact that airbags had deployed in both the squad car and the other SUV involved at the 11th and Greenfield site, suggesting a violent encounter. Likewise, TMJ4 relayed footage from a nearby business, Birrieria El Torito, capturing the moment when pedestrians narrowly evaded being caught in the vehicular turmoil. According to TMJ4, two people were filmed jumping out of the way as the chase culminated in a collision right before their eyes.
