
Tragedy struck the Northcrest subdivision in Ripley, Tennessee, last night as two teenagers were caught in the line of gunfire in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m., leaving one 16-year-old boy dead and another, also 16, injured with a gunshot wound to the leg, as reported by Action 5 News.
Further details were provided by District Attorney Mark Davidson, who confirmed to WREG that the deceased was a 17-year-old teen, contrary to earlier reports of the victim being 16. As the Ripley Police Department continues its investigation, they appeal to the public for any information that could lead to clarity and closure for this heinous act.
