In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking in Duluth, a joint operation led to the seizure of a large quantity of M30 pills, a common street name for pills containing fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid. According to a press release from the Duluth Police Department, the warrant was carried out at around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, in the 100 block of E 3rd St.

The collaborative effort that included Duluth Police Investigators, Officers, Members of the Tactical Response Team, and Drone Operators, along with Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force Investigators, saw 29-year-old Khadijah Preston being caught with a considerable amount of illegal substances. Without incident and continuing to keep dangerous substances away from the streets, Khadijah Preston was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail on charges of 1st Degree Sale of Fentanyl for safely detaining Preston, as detailed by the Duluth Police Department. During the bust, officers found 1,434 M30 pills on Preston and an additional 307 in her residence, totaling 1,741 pills.

"Good work to everyone involved for safely detaining Preston without incident and continuing to take harmful substances off the streets of Duluth," read the statement made by the Duluth Police Department.
