In the heart of East Arlington, a beacon of childhood development, All Stars Learning Center, has been nurturing young minds for a quarter-century. As Small Business Promotion Week shines a spotlight on local enterprises, All Stars stands out for its commitment to providing accessible early education. Owner Josie Villareal, who laid the center's foundation after years as a substitute teacher, has seen it grow from a single building acquired in 1999 to a second in 2001.
The center, now attending to 43 children aged between three months and nine years, also is a source of livelihood for 12 staff members. As per the City of Arlington, Villareal shared how working in childcare made it possible to "keep my baby close to me," revealing the pragmatic inception of her now flourishing daycare, and after-school care operations.
All Stars Learning Center has distinguished itself by earning a four-star rating, under the Texas Rising Star certification, indicating high standards of care that align with the Texas Workforce Commission's guidelines. The center goes further by offering Early Head Start, providing vital education for low-income families, a reflection of Villareal's belief that "every child who walks in our doors is precious," as she told the City of Arlington.
