An alarming incident unfolded last Saturday morning in East Columbus, where Alexander Oglesby, 32, was arrested following a contentious altercation that escalated to an attempted vehicular assault. According to NBC4i, Oglesby is accused of trying to strike three individuals with his vehicle during the dispute.
The confrontation occurred in the 2000 block of Woodsedge Road in the Walnut Creek area. In response to Oglesby's actions, one of the victims reportedly resorted to firing shots, which police later said was in self-defense. Detailed in an account obtained by WBNS, the tire tracks at the scene were evidence of the car veering off the road towards the victims, who were situated roughly 40 yards away on the grass in front of a house.
Oglesby was consequently hospitalized for the injuries sustained from the gunfire before being charged and booked into the Franklin County Jail. As reported by The Columbus Dispatch, Oglesby faces three counts of felonious assault.
