
The residents of Arlington have the opportunity to engage with city governance directly at the Arlington City Council meetings slated for today. Those interested in local policy and city management are encouraged to attend the sessions, which will take place both in the afternoon and evening. The afternoon session is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will convene in the City Council Briefing Room, located on the 3rd Floor of Arlington City Hall at 101 W. Abram St. The evening meeting, to start at 6:30 p.m., will be held in the Council Chamber, nestled between City Hall and the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.
Citizens unable to attend in person have alternative options to stay informed and connected. According to the City of Arlington's official website, live streaming of the meetings will be available on the City's website, for those who prefer the convenience of digital access. In addition, the Arlington municipal channel provided by local cable providers will broadcast the proceedings.
The city has put in place a variety of platforms to ensure that residents can follow the meetings from wherever they may be. Live streaming can be accessed through the internet, while television viewers can tune into AT&T U-verse Channel 99 or Spectrum Channel 16, 15.1 (digital) to catch a live broadcast. Moreover, the sessions shall be recorded and replayed on the government cable channel throughout the subsequent week, providing ample opportunity for citizens to catch up on city council deliberations and decisions.
