Findlay and North Fayette residents can sigh relief after the Department of Public Works completed road work on Enlow Road. According to Allegheny County's press release, the thoroughfare connecting Main Street to the Montour Trail Airport Connector is now fully open to traffic. Improvements included chip sealing, base repairs, and drainage enhancements. Commuters have faced periodic lane closures since March 11.
A. Folino Construction, Inc., a local contractor based in Oakmont, carried out the needed work. It bore the brunt of a $5.9 million contract that covered not just Enlow Road but also a suite of projects on eight other roads.
The upgrades will enhance road safety and reliability, benefiting the 774 daily drivers. As the community monitors continued progress, the focus shifts to the remaining projects.
