Euless residents looking to safely dispose of sensitive documents can breathe a little easier. The City of Euless is hosting a Shred Day, aimed to protect individuals from identity theft by destroying papers containing personal information. The event will take place at City Hall located at 201 N. Ector Dr., Euless, Texas 76039, on November 2nd, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, according to the City of Euless.

During this drive-through event, residents will have the opportunity to quickly and, more importantly, to securely dispose of papers and documents. Participants are invited to bring up to five boxes per vehicle, with each box adhering to the standard size of 15” x 12” x 10”, or paper grocery bags filled with documents. It's crucial to note that while staples, paperclips, and rubber bands don't need to be removed, the city has specified that CDs, jump drives, three-ring binders, or plastic bags are not acceptable for shredding.

Proof of residency will be required to take advantage of this free service. The event makes it convenient for community members to combat the pervasive threat of identity theft, which can ensnare any individual with just a few pieces of discarded personal information. Those interested in additional information about the event can call 817-685-1821.
