
An auto-pedestrian collision in southeast Austin has resulted in one fatality, as reported by KXAN. The incident occurred late Saturday night and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. Medics from Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) arrived at the scene at the intersection of Interstate 35 Service Road and Teri Road at around 11:20 p.m.
Despite the efforts of the emergency responders, who performed CPR upon their arrival, the victim, an adult patient, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight. Announcing the unfortunate outcome on social media, ATCEMS stated, "After extensive resuscitative efforts were unsuccessful, #ATCEMSMedics have pronounced an adult patient deceased on scene."

The Austin Police Department and Austin Fire Department were also present at the incident, which caused significant traffic delays in the area. ATCEMS alerted locals of the situation via X, advising those traveling through to expect extended traffic closures as the investigation commenced.
