
Early this morning, a fatal collision in northwest Harris County has taken one life and left another person injured, as reported by the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The accident occurred just before 3 a.m. near the intersection of West Little York Road and North Eldridge Parkway. KHOU confirmed that one victim was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported to the hospital with their condition not immediately known.
Details gleaned from the Vehicular Crimes Unit investigation suggested a silver Honda Accord, for reasons not yet clear, traveled westbound and veined into eastbound traffic ultimately colliding head-on with a red Honda Juke. The accident was confirmed by a social media post from HCSOTexas, which warned of traffic advisories in the immediate area due to multiple patrol vehicles attending the scene at 13200 West Little York Rd.
The driver of the Juke, an elderly man, unfortunately succumbed to injuries at the scene. On the other hand, described as a teenager, possibly a juvenile, was the driver of the Accord. According to HCSOTexas on X, the Vehicular Crimes Unit is actively investigating the cause of the crash, which led to the extended closure of the roadway, likely until about 7:30 a.m.
