Last night, the calm of Harford Road was broken by an incident that ended in tragedy—a man's life was claimed in an event all too common and yet unfathomably personal for those who loved him. According to the Baltimore Police Department's official release, at around 9:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Harford Road. They were called to respond to a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle, and upon their arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Details are limited, but the initial investigation shows the man, whose identity is still unknown, was crossing the street when he was struck. The vehicle in question did not stay at the scene, and authorities have been appealing for witnesses, anyone with essential details that could lead to an understanding of the events leading up to the fatal crash, perhaps bring a measure of justice for the unnamed man's untimely death.
Officers are urging the public to come forward with any information by contacting the investigators at 410-396-2606 or anonymously through the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
