Local law enforcement ended the pursuit of two individuals wanted on multiple felony charges in Aliquippa yesterday. According to a WTAE report, 43-year-old Westley Alan Matthews and 41-year-old Bobbi Jo Hutchinson, implicated in an incident involving "assault on a police officer, fleeing and eluding" in Scottdale, were apprehended in Aliquippa.
As detailed by WPXI, the Aliquippa Police Department spotted a Dodge Charger at around 4:39 p.m.—a vehicle identified as being involved in the Scottdale incident. Upon making a traffic stop on the Hollywood Bridge, police identified Matthews and Hutchinson and confirmed the active felony warrants against them. The arrest was described without complications despite their alleged involvement in serious charges.
The Aliquippa Police Department's Facebook post emphasized that Matthews and Hutchinson were handed over to the Westmoreland County Fugitive Task Force and transported to face charges in connection with the Scottdale Police Department incident.
