Gahanna residents and Halloween enthusiasts can mark their calendars for the upcoming Great Gahanna Goblin Fest. Set for October 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Academy Park, the event promises a range of spooky festivities suitable for all ages. As detailed on the city's official website, attendees can look forward to trick-or-treat stations, hayrides, and live performances.
"The Great Gahanna Goblin Fest is one of the most popular events in the City each year," Mayor Laurie Jadwin told the City of Gahanna, expressing how the local community comes together in the Halloween spirit for this eagerly anticipated gathering. The event is designed to quickly draw participants into the evening's thrills with plenty of food options, performers, and surprises.
For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the festivities, costumes are encouraged, and kids are invited to bring along their trick-or-treat bags to collect sweets. Beyond the candy-centric activities, the Goblin Fest also features stilt walkers, fire breathers, and engaging science experiments for a blend of entertainment.
While admission to the festivities is complimentary, a nominal fee of $2 per rider will be charged for hayrides, and only credit cards will be accepted for payment. "The Goblin Fest is an event that children and adults have come to love over the years," Gahanna Parks & Recreation Director Stephania Ferrell explained to the City of Gahanna. The event aims to seamlessly blend nostalgia with excitement, offering memories that attendees can carry well beyond the evening.
Food and beverages, including beer, will be available for purchase from various food trucks. Payment is also credit card only. Additional logistics include free offsite parking at 1356 Cherry Way Drive and a complimentary shuttle service to the park starting at 5:30 p.m. until the event's end. For those preferring on-site parking at Academy Park, advanced registration is available at a cost of $5. More information on parking and event details can be found by clicking HERE.
