A structure fire broke out in Lincoln Heights at a one-story garage on 1837 N Sichel St. According to the LAFD, the incident, which was reported as #INC1218, commenced at 4:24 PM. Firefighters mounted a defensive operation to combat the well-involved fire, noting audible explosions suggestive of fireworks within the garage.
Subsequent efforts by 48 firefighters managed to quell the blaze in 21 minutes, ensuring that the fire did not spread beyond the initial structure. In a report provided by the Los Angeles Fire Department, it was confirmed that the fire was contained to the garage and there were no injuries reported at the time of the incident.
However, later updates from the scene revealed that two patients were being evaluated by firefighter paramedics – a 36-year-old female with burn injuries and a 40-year-old female with an unspecified injury. The LAFD reported a potential third patient, although this individual had not been located following the response. These details emerged via an update from the fire department.
