
Wine connoisseurs in Hilliard have a new locale to indulge their palettes as Firefly Winery opens this week at 5435 Franklin St., right in the heart of Downtown Hilliard. Gracing the city with an array of red, white, and fruit wines, visitors can also enjoy an assortment of charcuterie, dips, breads, and other light fare.
As posted on the City of Hilliard, the grand opening is slated to kick off with festivities starting this Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4-9 p.m. It will continue into the weekend with extended hours on Friday and Saturday, accommodating guests eager to explore the winery's offerings until as late as 10 p.m. The grand opening then wraps on Sunday at a modest 8 p.m., giving the community ample time to engage with the new entrepreneurial venture.
For residents wondering about what Firefly Winery has in store, the latest episode of Choose Hilliard presents a tour of the 4,500-square-foot facility, showcasing the ambiance and detailing the curated food and wine menu. It also delves into the winery's origins, sharing insights from a local couple's journey back to their roots armed with years of wine expertise.
Owners Jennifer and Joe Hollabaugh have channeled their decades of experience into creating Firefly Winery, bringing a taste of refined craftsmanship to Hilliard, a homecoming made possible with the support of The Westwood Collective, among others, as the City of Hilliard reports, this opening marks a significant addition to the local business landscape, and the community's enthusiasm reflects a shared sentiment, Hilliard’s pride in welcoming the Hollabaughs and their passion project to the neighborhood.
