On a typical Saturday night in Bricktown, Oklahoma City, violence broke out, leaving five people injured in two separate incidents. The first incident occurred just before 10 p.m. near a parking lot by the Bass Pro Shop on Reno Avenue, where a person was shot in the arm during a fight. Emergency services took the victim to the hospital, and their condition is now stable. The shooter is still on the loose, as reported by News9.
Not long after, a second incident erupted in gunfire near the intersection of Reno Avenue and Mickey Mantle Drive, close to popular spots including Dave’s Hot Chicken and a movie theater. As per details obtained by KFOR, the confrontation began as a dispute inside a restaurant and spilled out onto the streets, turning physical and then rapidly escalating to a shooting that injured four. All victims were taken to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Quick response by the Oklahoma City Police Department led to the apprehension of three suspects involved in the latter shooting. Two firearms were also recovered at the scene. In a statement obtained by KOCO 5, police described how the rapid development of the situation required a swift and coordinated response. Information regarding the identities of the suspects and the victims has not yet been disclosed.
