A peculiar incident unfolded at an Ohio Walmart this past week, where a disgruntled former employee took to destroying property inappropriately. The Boardman police were called to the scene at Walmart, located at 1300 Doral Drive, at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, following reports that the former staff member was seen urinating on products being sold outside the store. As per the police reports cited by Local12, security footage showed the individual consuming alcohol before proceeding to urinate on a pallet of potting mix.
The suspect was allegedly at the location when the authorities arrived and confessed to the officers that he had, indeed, been drinking earlier in the day. He later went on to brazenly ruin not just a few but 72 bags of potting mix. "The entire pallet would have to be disposed of," an employee informed the police, tallying the loss at just over $400, as mentioned in a statement obtained by NBC4i.
Walmart intends to pursue charges against the individual for the damage caused. In addition to the legal repercussions, the former employee has been criminally trespassed from the establishment. This is necessary to ensure that he does not return to commit further damage to property or disrupt the business operations.
