Former President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Steelers game against the Jets this Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. As reported by WPXI, the visit coincides with a rally in Latrobe at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport set for the day before. During a previous visit to Butler on Oct. 5, after an earlier incident, Trump was joined by Elon Musk at his rally, and Musk stayed behind to attend the Steelers game the following day.
Predating his game attendance, Trump has been quite active in the region, stopping at the Butler Farm Show grounds earlier this month. Western Pennsylvania has become a hotspot for political engagements. Planning to bolster his presence, JD Vance, running mate and Republican vice-presidential nominee, is anticipated to speak at The Pennsylvanian. According to Audacy, Trump is also expected to hold another rally in Allegheny County next week.
The Steelers game event seems to be drawing other high-profile figures as well. As detailed by WPXI, former Steeler Antonio Brown has mentioned via social media that he plans to attend, exciting fans with a post that read, "See you this weekend in PA," where he tagged Trump and Vance. Despite outreach, Trump's campaign has yet to respond to this forthcoming convergence of sports and politics.
