Four workers formerly employed at Logan Express sites are facing criminal charges after an investigation revealed theft of bus ticket revenues. Following a tip through the Massachusetts Port Authority's hotline, the Massachusetts State Police confirmed the misconduct involving three employees at the Braintree site and one at the Framingham location, as reported by MassLive.

Theft at transit sites emerged earlier this year, and along with the criminal charges, Massport has terminated its contract with ABM Industry Groups, which was responsible for managing operations. This situation raises concerns about oversight, as the company's inability to properly supervise contributed to these incidents. "At Massport, we demand honesty and the highest level of service from our contractors, and I am deeply disappointed by the failures of ABM at our Braintree and Framingham Logan Express sites," Massport CEO Rich Davey said in a statement obtained by WCVB.

To ensure the integrity of operations, Massport will introduce a new operator next month to manage the transition and ongoing service at the Logan Express locations. Massport staff will be on-site to maintain continuity and minimize disruption for travelers.

To address the issue, Massport has hired Deloitte to conduct a forensic audit of all Logan Express sites previously managed by the terminated contractor, ABM. This action aims to ensure transparency and implement corrective measures following the misconduct identified at these locations.
