
A tragic case has arisen from Glen Burnie where a woman, Tiffany Lynee Carr, 34, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter following the death of her two-year-old child, as CBS News Baltimore reported. The Anne Arundel County Police responded to a call regarding an unresponsive toddler at the 8000 block of Winding Wood Road on the evening of August 17th, discovering the child in a state that no intervention could redeem.
Once at the scene, police found the child lying face down inside the home. Attempts to revive the child were unsuccessful, and they were pronounced dead at the hospital. During the investigation, homicide detectives collected evidence from the scene, revealing a tragic situation. Toxicology results indicated that opioids were present in the child's system, according to a FOX Baltimore report.
Following the autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Carr faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, child neglect, and reckless endangerment, among other related charges.
