Gwinnett County's dedication to enhancing local services is now tangible with the ribbon-cutting of the expanded OneStop Centerville, which took place yesterday. The center, situated adjacent to the Centerville Senior Center, is designed as a comprehensive hub for residents to access various services, including public health, early learning, and mental health resources, as reported by the Gwinnett County official website.

The upgraded facility stands as a two-story structure boasting 33,000 square feet of space, inclusive of community rooms for events and activities, alongside an 11,000-square-foot playground. County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson emphasized the center's role: "This center embodies the County’s commitment to helping our community thrive, creating a space where every individual and family can find the support they need," she told the county's official website.

OneStop Centerville serves as a testament to the county's ability to forge and nurture partnerships that address community needs. It houses office space for county partners, including GNR Public Health and View Point Health, which will offer essential programs to the residents. District 2 Commissioner Ben Ku highlighted the collaborative efforts, saying "The expansion of OneStop Centerville leverages these meaningful partnerships to provide access to care and resources from the County and partner agencies at a convenient location," in a statement obtained by the Gwinnett County official website.

GNR Public Health will enhance healthcare in the area by providing dental and routine health center services, while the WIC office aims to support women and children with nutritional assistance. Additionally, View Point Health will introduce a Play Therapy and Resilience Training Program, geared towards culturally and linguistically appropriate education for clinicians working with children and families – a key component in fostering resilience and healing.

Funding for this expansion, totaling $25 million, was acquired through the federal American Rescue Plan Act. The OneStop Centerville is looking forward to welcoming Gwinnett residents and will be offering a variety of resources under one roof.
