The high-risk operations led to multiple arrests and the seizure of a sizable haul of illegal drugs and firearms, illustrating law enforcement's ongoing efforts to tackle the area's criminal activities.
In a media post, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office showered its ESU team with accolades for their part in the successful execution of seven high-risk warrants. The operations undertaken by the ESU allowed detectives from the VOTF to nab several individuals tangled in the web of illicit trades, snagging a trove of contraband in the process. According to the post by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, the raids yielded "approximately 200 grams of cocaine, approximately 50 grams of fentanyl, 5 pounds of methamphetamine, 9 firearms, and over $200,000 in illicit narcotics proceeds."
The week-long operation seems to have been a strategic strike against the traffickers and dealers plaguing local communities, demonstrating the resolve of law enforcement in its ongoing war against drugs and associated violent crime.
