Hillsborough County is supporting local entrepreneurs following Hurricanes Milton and Helene by launching a new Business Recovery Center. Starting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide direct assistance to businesses in their recovery efforts. According to the Hillsborough County, Small Business Administration representatives will be available to help with disaster loan applications and guide businesses through the rebuilding process.

These Small Business Administration Customer Service Representatives are ready to answer questions and guide entrepreneurs through the application process. Support options include low-interest loans with repayment plans of up to 30 years. The Business Recovery Center, located at the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center at 2101 E. Palm Ave, offers services from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. It will remain closed on Sundays, and parking is complimentary across Palm Avenue, as reported by the Hillsborough County.

Specialists are available on-site for no-cost, confidential consultations to help entrepreneurs prepare disaster loan applications and tackle other post-disaster challenges. This coordinated initiative pairs Small Business Development Center specialists with Small Business Administration representatives to provide a comprehensive recovery toolkit for those in need. Business owners can access these resources by contacting the Florida Small Business Development Cente at Hillsborough County at (813) 204-9267 on weekdays or through the online portal at HCFL.gov/FSBDC
