Columbus Division of Police was alerted to the shooting on an unknown complaint. Upon their arrival, they were informed that a man had been shot as someone flagged down officers. Known for his viral remix of the children's song "Baby Shark," Ralan Styles was suffering from "multiple" gunshot wounds, having reached audiences far and wide with his unique take on the famous tune. Sergeant James Fuqua confirmed the victim's identity and detailed the nature of his injuries to WBNS.
Police subsequently arrested Mahamood Hassan, 24, in connection with the murder of Robinson. Hassan, a resident of the city's Northeast side, is now being held on a $2 million bond. The exact circumstances that led to the shooting are still unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
