A robbery at a convenience store in Houston ended with an arrest by Houston Police Department officers. The crime took place on October 7 and has led to charges being filed against Alejandro Marin, 20, accused of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
At approximately 10:30 pm, Marin allegedly entered the store, waited until the premises cleared out, then proceeded to hold the store clerk at gunpoint demanding cash, according to Houston Police Department's robbery division. Upon obtaining the money, Marin reportedly fled on foot, spurring the clerk to contact the authorities. Officers from the Northeast Patrol Division, responding to the incident, apprehended a man nearby matching the description given by the complainant.
During the apprehension, officers found a loaded handgun in the suspect’s pant pocket, along with the cash taken from the store. The suspect, identified as Alejandro Marin, was brought back to the crime scene, where the complainant confirmed his identity as the perpetrator. Marin is now facing charges of aggravated robbery in the 496th State District Court and has been booked in the Harris County jail.
