A man has been pronounced dead following a shooting that occurred outside a gas station in southwest Houston, marking another episode of violence in the city streets. The incident unfolded at approximately 9:25 a.m. today, located in the 12000 block of Hillcroft Ave, which has since become the focus of a Houston Police Department investigation, details of which were first shared by the department via an online post.
The aftermath of the incident saw the area become a hive of police activity investigating the scene, with aerial footage from KPRC 2’s Sky2 chopper revealing at least 30 possible bullet markings scattered across the crime scene suggesting the gravity and potentially chaotic nature of the shooting, in a statement obtained by KPRC 2's report. The identity of the victim has not been publicly disclosed at this time nor have any suspects been apprehended as the shooter or shooters reportedly fled the scene leaving behind a trail of questions and a community in mourning.
