Just under a year after the death of 41-year-old Ron Valrie, who was found deceased from blunt force trauma at a Southmore Boulevard property, authorities have made strides in their investigation. According to a recent update from the Houston Police Department (HPD), one suspect is now behind bars while another remains at large. Trezzenia Wilson, 40, has been charged with murder, following the collection of evidence and witness statements that pointed officers in her direction.
The victim, found unresponsive last November at the Southmore Boulevard address by HPD patrol officers, had suffered significant injury resulting in his death. Following last week's developments, on a person down call, where Wilson was arrested without incident by the HPD South Gessner Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team, she was promptly booked into the Harris County Jail. The other suspect, Darryl Farley, 39, is also charged with murder and is simultaneously sought by authorities, as per the Houston Police.
Both suspects were promptly charged with murder in the 178th State District Court. An autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences ruled Valrie’s death a homicide last year, providing a critical piece in what had previously been a puzzle of a man's life cut short. At the time, the charge against Wilson was filed last Friday, and she was subsequently taken into custody this past Tuesday, suggesting progress, albeit slow, in the wake of tragedy.
As this case unfolds, Houston residents can contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 with any relevant information. There is also the option to speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS, for those who might hold key details yet are reluctant to come forward.
