Houston Police Investigate After Retrieving Two Bodies from Bayous in Under an Hour

The Houston Police Department faced a grim situation when two bodies were recovered from different bayous within an hour of each other, leading to ongoing investigations into the two separate cases. According to ABC13, the first body, that of a man, was spotted by a pedestrian along Brays Bayou and reported to an off-duty officer at approximately 10:35 a.m. yesterday, in the 6800 block of Lawndale Street.

The discovery of the woman's body followed shortly after in White Oak Bayou near North Main Street, around 11:10 a.m., this information was shared by Houston Police. They have not provided insight into how the man or woman may have died, and the investigation is ongoing. As a statement obtained from KHOU puts it, authorities provided scant details beyond the recovery of the bodies by dive teams in both instances.

The identities of both deceased individuals are still under wraps, pending the assessments of the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, which are likely to shed light on the causes of death for both the man and the woman found in such proximate locations and times.
