Investigators are actively piecing together the events that led up to a deadly shooting yesterday morning in Houston. The incident, which occurred at a strip center on 11921 Bissonnet Street around 1:20 a.m., left a 19-year-old man dead and a second man, aged 32, injured. According to a report by the City of Houston, the identity of the deceased victim is yet to be disclosed, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The 32-year-old man was rushed to an area hospital where he is expected to survive, being listed in stable condition. Officers from the Houston Police Department responded to quickly find and swiftly assist the victims. The investigation, led by HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detectives R. Lujan, A. Ledford, and E. Camacho, delves into what at first appeared to be a gathering that somehow spiraled into violence. An altercation broke out, and a firearm was drawn. It was then that shots were fired into the crowd, striking both victims.
