HPD Vehicular Crimes Division's Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer Z. Alikhan, as they reported at the scene, discovered that a grey Chevrolet Impala struck the victim attempting to cross the street. The driver, a 72-year-old male, was eastbound when the collision occurred, hitting the victim while not using a crosswalk. The driver of the Impala did not leave the chaotic scene, cooperated fully with the law enforcement officers, and exhibited no signs of intoxication.
