The Houston Police Department is currently seeking public assistance to locate a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred at a West Houston drug store earlier this month. According to the details released by the department, the incident took place on the evening of October 4 at approximately 8:45 pm. A male entered the drug store at the 4700 block of Westheimer, Houston, initially pretending to be a customer.
After approaching the counter, the suspect revealed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. Authorities report that the employee, faced with the immediate threat, complied with the suspect's demands and handed over the cash. Following the robbery, the suspect left the store and his current whereabouts are unknown, as the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division stated.
The police have described the suspect as a Black male, between 5'6" and 5'8" in height. He was last seen wearing a black cap, a gray shirt with black lettering, black pants, and gray and black shoes. Despite the details provided, authorities have yet to identify the individual and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The Houston Police Department has partnered with Crime Stoppers of Houston to encourage tips from the community that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. They have announced that information leading to the charging and/or arrest of any felony suspects may result in a cash payment up to $5,000. Crime Stoppers has highlighted, that tipsters must contact them directly – by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a tip online at www.crime-stoppers.org, or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app, to remain anonymous and be eligible for the cash reward.
