The Houston Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Northeast Houston. The incident took place on the night of September 30, when a man brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the store clerk.

According to the department's Robbery Division, the event unfolded just after 9:30 pm at a store located on the 9100 block of Eastex Freeway. The suspect approached the counter under the guise of making a purchase before revealing a handgun. He then moved behind the counter to take an undisclosed amount of money from the register. A statement issued by the Houston Police indicates that after obtaining the cash, the individual fled the scene accompanied by a second male who was waiting outside.

Authorities described the suspect as a Black male wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. For the purpose of apprehending those responsible, Houston PD #1382428-24 has been assigned to the case. The Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Houston's Crime Stoppers organization is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for tips leading to the charging and/or arrest of felony suspects.
