HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective T. Johnson indicated that first responders from the Houston Fire Department provided medical assistance and transportation for the man to an area hospital. Shortly after, the police located and detained Jordan at the apartment complex on Canyon Street.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted regarding the incident, following which charges were filed against Jordan. She was taken into custody without further incident. "Patrol officers responded to the apartment complex and were able to locate and detain the suspect, later identified as Ms. Jordan," according to the information provided in the news release, detailing the timely response of the officers involved.
