The Houston Police Department is in its third day of a search at a vacant residence on Elmview Drive in west Houston. This investigation relates to a missing persons case involving an individual who may have disappeared nearly a decade ago. The property became a point of interest after the police received permission from the owner to conduct their search, according to Click2Houston.
The home, known to have been unoccupied for a lengthy duration, rests within a neighborhood that has not seen its inhabitants for at least eight years, a neighbor disclosed to Click2Houston. Through the thickening plot of time and neglect, Texas EquuSearch has joined forces with HPD, to search not only the grounds but also the deteriorating structure, seeking to unravel the mystery of the missing. EquuSearch’s volunteers were seen thoroughly to dig and sift through the unearthed soil, while sometime removing items in black plastic bags away from public eyes.
The excavation has attracted local attention, resulting in increased activity from law enforcement and crime scene investigators. The recent report of a missing resident adds urgency to the ongoing work on Elmview Drive. Detectives have acknowledged the extended timeline of the case, as noted by ABC13. The search is employing advanced radar technology to detect any hidden evidence on the property.
exas EquuSearch is working alongside the Houston Police Department to search the property and gather information about the missing individual.
