In a renewed effort to solve the tragic murders of Temeco Williams, 48, and her daughter Jada Allen, 15, that have haunted North Lauderdale since 2017, the Broward Crime Stoppers has now doubled the reward to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible. According to WSVN, this incentive is being offered in the hopes that someone will come forward with details.
On January 28, 2017, Williams and Allen were found in their home with gunshot wounds. While Allen was declared dead at the scene, her mother later succumbed to her injuries at Broward Health North, as detailed in a news release by Local 10. The killer, believed by the BSO to have known the victims and the family’s home layout, was able to carry out the attack without leaving any evidence of forced entry—and left two other children in the home unharmed.
BSO Cold Case Detective Zack Scott described the attack as "a very cold-blooded crime," noting its lack of typical robbery characteristics, in a statement obtained by CBS12. Nicole, sister to Temeco Williams, in a news release captured by Local 10, expressed her family's desolation and called on the public for assistance: "Nobody deserves what my sister and my niece got... They were in their home. They were asleep."
Details of the case remain scarce, with no suspects publicly identified by authorities to date. Seven years after the homicides, with the killer still at large, the community and the victims' family continue to search for closure. The BSO encourages anyone with information to contact BSO Det. Zack Scott at 954-321-4214. To report tips anonymously, Broward County Crime Stoppers is available at 954-493-TIPS, as mentioned by Local 10.
