An unanticipated stroke of fortune has graced Marc Finkbiner, a 66-year-old man from Ionia County, Michigan, not once but twice as he claimed his second Michigan Lottery jackpot while playing Club Keno The Jack. According to WOODTV, Finkbiner expressed his thrill at winning again after having won a $29,048 prize previously in 2015.
Finkbiner's recent win occurred at Hot Shots Tavern located in Portland, where a modest $3 turned into a whopping $148,443 jackpot. “I was at Hot Shots Tavern with my wife playing Club Keno, and I won $3 on one ticket, so I reinvested my winnings and purchased another one,” Finkbiner told ClickOnDetroit. He matched all eight of The Jack numbers: 05-19-32-46-59-78-80, securing his large payout.
The Jack is an add-on game to Club Keno where players select numbers in hopes of matching the Club Keno numbers drawn, with jackpots starting at $10,000 and increasing until claimed. As reported by WZZM13, Finkbiner saw all eight of his selected numbers appear during the drawing and witnessed the jackpot reset, which signaled his win.
Despite this second large win, Finkbiner intends to continue trying his luck. "Even though I’ve already won twice, I plan to keep playing because I believe, there are more big wins in store for me,” Finkbiner remarked in a statement obtained by WZZM13. This latest prize will reportedly contribute to his savings for impending retirement, moving him "one step closer" to that goal.
