The Irving Police Department has recently taken to social media to highlight the exemplary performance of its staff in its 3rd Quarter Merit & Tenure Awards. In a Facebook post, the Irving Police Department broadcast its message of appreciation for the individuals who consistently go beyond the call of duty to serve their community. The announcement recognizes courageous actions ranging from safe driving to direct interventions in crises.
Among the commendable figures, Ivan Castro and Tommy Brock were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their quick response in critical incidents that benefitted the Irving community directly. Similarly, Officer Turner has been honored as the Officer of the Quarter, whereas Maria Gonzalez received the Civilian of the Quarter award for her contribution to the public's well-being. Proudly, the Irving Police Department acknowledges that "these individuals are just a glimpse of the amazing people who serve Irving every day."
The department's statement does more than just laud its staff; it becomes a beacon, demonstrating to the community the level of commitment the officers and civilians bring to their roles. A special note of esteem was directed towards two members who stood out for their long-standing commitment, "recognizing decades of service in our department," as the Irving Police stated. These recognitions illustrate the department's valuation of both heroic acts in the line of duty and the tireless dedication that spans a career.
