Officers arriving on the scene found a victim who had succumbed to gunshot wounds. This person was later identified as Cidrik Calhoune, an 18-year-old whose life was cut short.
The investigation moved swiftly, and two days after the shooting, on Monday, Irving Police apprehended the suspect. They arrested Khalil Phillip Lavell Townsend, 17 years of age, connecting him to the crime scene, Townsend is charged with murder and is now in custody at the Irving Jail pending bond. As the police continue to delve into the case, they encourage the community to come forward with any information that might shine further light on this dark event.
