Community engagement is advancing in Jacksonville as Sheriff T.K. Waters and his team prepare to visit District 3. On Saturday morning, according to a press release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Waters, Commander Randi Glossman, and other officers will meet with residents one-on-one during a neighborhood walk starting at 10:30 a.m.
District commanders choose neighborhoods based on public feedback, recent crime statistics, and community requests. "Participants are asked to park at Adolph Wurn Park located at 2115 Dean Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216," and will be guided through the area by the Sheriff and his team to address local issues together, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
These walks focus on building trust between officers and residents. District 3 is opening its streets to address issues beyond safety and find solutions together, as stated by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
